A Virtual Music director Vandemataram turns director. Earlier he had acted in films like Ammulu and now is taking up direction. His maiden directorial venture is titled Badmash and stars newcomers Naga Siddardha and Ekta as the lead pair. The film was launched today (November 30, 2009) at Annapoorna studios and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu graced the ceremony. Chandrabu Naidu sounded the clapboard for the muhurat shot taken on the lead pair, while hero Gopichand switched on the camera. Director Shankar, actor Murali Mohan and others also attended.
It has story by P V Giri and dialogues by Veligonda Srinivas, both of them recently wrote for Allari Naresh’s hit film, Bendu Apparao.
Hot heroine rejects to Kiss
Sources said that the hot bubbly actor Amrita Rao has rejected a Bollywood offer.All the industry guys got surprised with this stunning decision. She had almost compleated the talks about the film and there is a need of the lip scene, Amrita said no to the role because of it. “When Amrita learnt about the scene, she politely turned down the film. She was not comfortable with the idea of kissing on screen. Amrita has been replaced by Southern star Neha Sharma.”
Vishal’s new flick has many suprises
Vishal’s next film Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai, it seems, has more surprises in store. For one, the actor’s role in the film isn’t that of an altruist. It has certain negative traits.
“You could say that I’m playing a role that could be considered anti-hero in a certain way,” the star disclosed at a press conference called to announce the status of the project, which is almost complete. The movie
will also have five heroines, with two of them making guest appearances.
“We have shot portions of one of the guest actresses. The portions of the other guest actress haven’t been shot as of now,” Vishal said, adding that the movie would hit the screens for Pongal.
“The audio will be released in the second week of December and the movie will be simultaneously released in Tamil and Telugu on Pongal and Sankranthi days respectively. The film will be called Khiladi in Telugu,” he said.
The actor plays a playboy in the film that will have Tanushree Dutta, Sarah Jane and Neetu Chandra playing the three lead roles along with him. To a query on how many times he had proposed to girls in real life, the star replied in jest, “Oh! Several times. In fact, I said ‘I love you’ to a girl when I was in Standard II.”(TNN)

But things seem to be different in the case of Sheena Shahabadi, the pretty girl who is all set to make her debut in Tollywood with the film ‘Bindaas’. She is pairing up with Manchu Manoj in this one.
Till recently, many knew her as the daughter of the yesteryears Bollywood beauty Sadhana but then a buzz broke out stating Sheena was already married. While many were trying to figure that out, pictures of the same were released. However, it is said that the marriage didn’t last long.
It was said to be an ‘Arya Samaj’ kind of wedding but then folks here are still not sure if Sheena is really married or not. While the mystery continues, many are curious to see how she fits into the bill as a heroine in Telugu. For now, this could be an interesting combo for Manchu Manoj. Vishnu starrer YVS Chowdhary directed Saleem is setting new records even before its release. It is going to be the first Telugu film to release in as many as 35 theatres in Maharashtra. Although Telugu biggies do release in places like Mumbai and Delhi but a Telugu film releasing in such number of theatres is a record. It is also going to be released in Delhi in about 5 theatres. Saleem stars Ileana as the heroine and is produced jointly by Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Reliance Entertainment. Saleem releases worldwide on December 11.
Sexy siren lip lock scene costs Rs.1.25 crores
Apple pie beauty Tamanna at last agreed to act in lip lock scene in her forthcoming film opposite Legendary Kamal Haasan. Tamanna feels that the kissing scene is essential for the film to support the story. Tamanna has agreed for onscreen lip-lock as well as hiked herremuneration. She demanded Rs.1.25 crores for this film. Tamanna is ruling the roost after delivering back-to-back hits in Kollywood.
Lookslike, Tamanna is following the adage of 'Make Hey While The Sun Shines'.
However, the news that there were Liplock scenes between Tamanna and Kamal Haasan has raised the expectations on the film. K S Ravikumar of Dasavatharam fame will be directing this film.
