Allu Sirish, the CEO South Scope(India's first South Film Magazine) will be hosting an annual awards ceremony called as South Scope Style awards. These awards ceremony will be held in HICC, Hotel Novotel, Hyderabad on October 25th. The Award Categories : Stylish Film Stylish Actor Stylish Actor- Female Stylish Album Stylish Fight Choreography Stylish Song Choreography South Scope Style Icon- 1 South Scope Youth Style Icon- Male South Scope Youth Style Icon- Female The nominees will be from all the four south Indian films. These awards were voted on by audience and in addition to it, a jury comprising of renowned fashion designers Asmita Marwa, Wendell Rodricks, Prasad Bidapa will judge the nominees according to given parameters. Village lo Vinayakudu creating records even bofore release

It looks like the film ‘Village Lo Vinayakudu’ has scored enough success even before it has released. Village lo Vinayakudu movie is as small as its budget but BIG in idea. Budget is not compromising on the quality of the film to make it a complete laugh riot and a visual treat. As against Vinayakudu that was made in 2.4 crores, Village lo Vinayakudu, a Moonwater Pictures production, was shot in 1.39 crores. And the film is on the anvil of becoming the lowest budget movie of the year. The film’s Audio CD, retailed at Rs.9.98, is the lowest in the Tollywood film history, and is also the single largest selling album of the year. Ask producer Mahi on this, he ascribes it to synergizing and collaborating with various corporates like Reliance, Kalamandir, Future Generali, etc., to bring in an organized effort in marketing the film. And this takes the cake - Moonwater pictures is also the only production house in Tollywood history to have roped in as many as 10 media partners.

Big B fans celebrate his 67th birthday

MUMBAI - Fans of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 67th birthday here on Sunday.

They gathered outside his residence ‘Pratiksha’ and prayed for his happiness and future success.

Bachchan celebrated on the eve of his birthday by attending a promotion of his ensuing movie ‘Rann’.

The movie ‘Rann’ deals with the prevailing ethos in the world of journalism.

It has taken its inspiration from the bourgeoning Indian media and has delved in various issues involving journalistic integrity, dilemma and professional ethics confronting the business aspect of a media house.

Despite the critical projection of the fourth estate, Bachchan said that he has deep respect for the ideal journalism, which happens to be the ‘eyes and ears of the nation’.

“But within the way the media functions, there can be developed a story which can have great human value. The media is the conscience of the nation. What the film deals with is that it’s also a business.

Do we compromise conscience for our business? Do we compromise our business for our conscience? I think the gap between these two extremities is what this film tries to portray. In the end, we will see that who is going to be victorious and who is going to be defeated,” he said.

In the film, he plays role of a hardcore professional journalist, who runs a private TV news channel.

Bachchan added the artiste within him continues to aspire for diverse and demanding roles.

Further, he was all praise for Ram Gopal Verma, the director of the film for venturing into realistic films like ‘Satya’, ‘Company’ and ‘Sarkar’.

The actor in a span of his 40 years career in the film industry has performed some brilliant roles.

Bachchan once again came face to face with these very characters played in movies like ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Coolie’, ‘Shahanshah’, ‘Namak Halal’, which were portrayed through dummies. (ANI)

I did't reject Shahrukh Khan film : Asin

Few days back, There were reports in media that Southern beauty Asin has refused to do a role in Shahrukh Khan's forthcoming film Happy New Year, directed by choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan of Main hoon na and Om Shanti Om fame. The news has shocked many that a new actress in Bollywood refused Shahrukh film. But, Asin condemned the rumor stating that she will never turn down the offer from Farah Khan. "I am extremely upset with this rumour that has obviously been floated by vested interests. I don't understand how such rumours crop up. Farah Khan is a close friend of mine there is no way I can refuse her. There was never any discussion over the movie.This news is utter rubbish," Asin clarified in a statement. Farah condemned the reports and said: "The rumour is a complete fabrication. I have not even written the script as yet."

Ghatikudu Movie Release on Deepavali 17th October

Nayantara and surya starer bilingual Movie (GhatikuduAadhavan In Tamil ) is slated to release on Rumoured to have cost 42 crores, the film 17 th october.Ghatikudu, Aadhavan in Tamil is releasing as a Diwali gift for cine lovers. It is produced by Chandan Ramesh and is directed by KS Ravikumar on CNR Productions banner. KS Ravikumar is the same director who handled Padayappa, 'Ulaga Nayagan' Kamal Haasan's Dasavatharam. Music is scored by Harris Jayaraj, whose association with Suriya was so successful in films like Khakha Khakha, Ghajini, Vaaranam Ayiram and Ayan. Saroja appears in a guest role. Suriya will play a negative lead role in this movie and Nayantara is the heroine. Song sequences were shot at select places in Iceland, where James Bond movies were shot. Vadivelu, Murali, Fefsi Vijayan, Ramesh Kanna, who has scripted the story, Shayaji Shinde, Rahul Dev, Anand Babu and Manobala are part of the cast. Art is by Rajeevan.

RGV Rakta Charitra : Vivek Oberoi and Surya in 3 versions

Ace director Ramgopal Varma has roped Vivek Oberoi and Surya for his forthcoming film Rakta Charitra. The film is based on faction leader Paritala Ravi's life history. Vivek Oberoi will portray the the role of Paritala Ravi and tamil star actor Surya plays the role of Maddalcheruvu Suri, Paritala Ravi's arch rival. Bothof them will play the role in all the versions(Hindi, Telugu and Tamil). Surya is making his Hindi debut with Rakta Charitra. Though, Pradeep Pinisetty(aadi) was earlier considered to play the role of Paritala Ravi in Telugu version. Later on, Ramgopal Varma zeroed on Vivek Oberoi. Melody Bramha Mani Sharma composes music for Rakta Charitra. Mani Sharma is debuting in Bollywood with this film. As the script is of 5 hours duration, it is planned to be made in two parts. Vivek Oberoi takes the lead in first part and Surya takes the lead in second part. The film will be shot in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously.
