Lawrence As A Cow Boy In His Upcoming Movie

The famous choreographer- Actor-Director - Raghava Lawrence is ready to be casted as a cowboy. He is all set to rule the sets of the upcoming Tamil movie ‘Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam,’ thanks to his regular practice sessions in horse riding. Unlike Ram Charan, this hero seems to be new to the sport but quite daring. Director Simbudevan has already set up high hopes on this new adventure-comedy, a rare and different genre and that too with a western tinge. Like his earlier Tamil movie ‘Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi’ which was later dubbed into Telugu as “Himsinche 23va Raju Pulakesi,” even this one will revolve around the 18th century but… but the twist is that it’s in Mexican flavour. Seeing Lawrence in traditional western costumes, riding horses and reflecting a tougher attitude with heroines Lakshmi Rai, Padmapriya and Sandhya swinging beside will no doubt be a mind blowing experience for the viewers. Jr.NTR Adurs logo launched

The logo launch of much-awaited film Adurs starring Jr.NTR and Nayantara in the lead was held at Annapurna Studios on Sunday. Jr.NTR, VV Vinayak, Brahmanandam, Kodali Nani, Chota K.Naidu were present at the pressmeet. "This is the third film in our combination. Our first film was made with faction backdrop, second film on education system and this film is a complete entetainer. Adurs title to this film is an apt choice," said Jr.NTR. "Before confirming this script, we discussed two scripts. One among it is the role of a police officer. But, that didn't materialize. This film would be a surprise to the audience, as no one would expect this kind of film in our combination. Devi Sri Prasad gave extrodinary music to this film. Jr.NTR looks handsome in this film," said VV Vinayak. "J.NTR's performance in the film is mind blowing. He excelled in songs and fights. Our comedy track in this film has come out very well," Brahmanandam. "It's the media that publicized the title extensively. We too have confirmed the same as it suits the film," said Kodali Nani. Sheela plays the second female lead in this film. Jr.NTR will be seen in dual role in the film. Produced by Vallabhaneni Vamsi under Vishnavi Arts banner and presented by Kodali Nani. The film is said to be an action packed romantic entertainer. The audio launch would be held in the first week of December. Adurs is slated to release in the last week of December. K Raghavendra Rao-Manoj film starts shoot

Veteran director K.Raghavendra Rao is directing a film after a long gap. The film stars Manchu Manoj in the lead. Manoj played a small role in Major Chandrakanth. Now he is acting as hero in K Raghavendra Rao's direction. Mohan Babu is playing a pivotal role in this film. Lakshmi Manchu is turning as a full-time producer with this film. Music is by MM Keeravani and cinematography by S Gopal Reddy. The film is said to be a musical entertainer. The film contains 11 songs with a blend of classical folk songs and western tunes. After a long gap of 16 years Mohan Babu-K.Raghavendra Rao-Keeravani teamed p for this film. The formal launch of this film is held on November 12th.

My nude scene in Kurbaan isn’t vulgar: Kareena

Kareena Kapoor says there is nothing "vulgar" about her backless shot being used for the publicity posters of forthcoming release Kurbaan, an intense thriller about terrorism. In fact, she says, it subtly reveals a lot about the story. "This shot of me in a backless posture and Saif with a wound on his chest tell so much about the film’s theme," said Kareena. "There is love, passion and violence - all combined in here and what better way than to show it through a single still? You too would agree that there is nothing sleazy or vulgar about it. Knowing the sensibilities of Karan Johar (producer) and Rensil D’Silva (director), that’s the least one could have expected," she added. Kareena said that after Geet in Jab We Met, her character of Avantika in Kurbaan will make people sit up and take notice. "The girl’s role has a lot of edge in Kurbaan, something which starts becoming more and more visible as the film unfolds. In any case the film is not one of those cliched love stories. Every character has quite a few layers to it and Avantika, the character I play, is no exception. She is quite pivotal to Kurbaan," she said. Kareena plays a professor in Kurbaan who gets married to her colleague, played by Saif Ali Khan. They move to New York after marriage, but as a series of events unfold she finds herself into a vortex of danger and intrigue. She further realises that she is a pawn in a huge game and no one could be trusted. "What made this role special is the fact that I play this young beautiful professor who is quite normal. She reacts to terrorism for the first time and life is never the same again for her," she said. "Actually if you ask me, then technically Kurbaan is the story of this girl. She is the light of the screen. I am sure people will cry with Avantika…so strong is her characterisation," the actress said. After Jab We Met, Kareena was seen in Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, Kambakkth Ishq, Tashan and Golmaal Returns. And except Golmaal Returns, none of the films did well at the box office. Kareena is delighted about the prospects of audiences seeing her in a different light after the film and says it is not a frothy romance drama. "Kurbaan has a deep-rooted love story to it, but it is not a frothy romantic film that we are time and again exposed to. The love story is much deeper here. There is a definite meaning, purpose and reason to it. Also, the film is quite powerful in its own way since it’s the voice of moderate Islam," she said. The film, which also stars Vivek Oberoi, Om Puri, Kirron Kher and Dia Mirza, is releasing Nov 20.(IANS)

Lakshmi Roy rubbished the reports in the media that she was romantically involved with her physical trainer. However, the actress says that the report has no truth in it. "Prasad is my personal trainer and my relationship with him is thoroughly professional. What’s more, Prasad is on the verge of getting engaged. This false report will have an adverse effect on both his career and family," said the actress. "The report claimed that he stayed with me in the same hotel in an adjacent room. But that is because I'm now working on several projects and I need to stay fit. In fact, for one of my films, I have to reduce nine kg. For this, I need to work out for at least a couple of hours everyday in the morning before I leave for shooting. As I'm busy and travelling, my trainer travels along with me. If Prasad stays at a different hotel, he could be delayed and I wouldn't be able to begin my work out at 5 am. That is the reason he stays in the same hotel," she added.
